•Painting course will be held by local artists with the which guests will reach the unspoiled spots of the island to draw inspiration from the beautiful sceneries and start painting. The artists will not be explaining how to hold the brush or techniques, they will just help you to take out and express the art that already lays in every person and give some occasional suggestions. If you already have a painting knowledge, you can share your techniques and ideas with local artists.

•Cookery course will not be held by professional’s chef; instead by local ladies who loves (like many Italians) cooking and holds the recipes of local’s tradition that gets transferred through the generations There will be three lessons, that might be at different families or the same (depends on the availability). The first lesson will be about main course, the second about the second dishes and the last one about desserts and cakes.

•Gardening at La Mortella will consist in:
- A guided tour of La Mortella with an expert guide to know the several variety.
- A lecture at the gardens La Mortella, held by an expert botanist trained by Lady Walton who will show slides about a certain species of plants at the studio where Sir William Walton used to compose music. At the end of the lesson guests will go searching around the garden all the varieties corresponding to the species learnt during the lesson, while a gardener will show the proper way to take care of those plants.
During the lesson at La Mortella, there will be a break while it will be possible to refresh by the tea room of the garden.
- A hiking track on the island, to learn about the officinal wild plants and their use. It will also be possible to admire the rare Cyperus Papyrus Rottb.

•The material for the course will be provided by Platypus Itinerary, including also the bus transfer to reach the spots.

•The course could be cancelled if not reached the minimum number of 8 participants.
 
•If the minimum number of participants for a course will not be reached, it will be possible to discuss with our rap and get a special arrangement on demand, having the course privately organized.

•Courses can be booked on our web site and payment will be done directly to our rap on the isle of Ischia; although a credit card number must be provided at reservation.

•The cancellation charge will be the 50% of the total amount of the coure, if cancelled within 10 days before departure.

•At the moment of the reservation, our staff will inform you about the number of guests taking part already to the course.

•A Learning Holiday interpreter will always be with guests during the cookery, painting and traditional dance courses, to translate the indications given by locals.

•Sailing, gardening and Italian courses will be held by fluent English speaking people.
